Google Analytics 4 Configuration

The GA4 configuration in MPC allows seamless integration between your business properties and Google Analytics 4. This ensures accurate event tracking, efficient data flow, and reliable reporting. Agencies can use this process to onboard client businesses into Analytics, while businesses gain improved visibility into their performance data.

GA4 MPC Configuration Steps​

Search for the Business in the platform

  • Log in to MPC
  • Search using the Business ID or Business Name
  • Navigate to My Business → Tooling

Enable Web Analytics Feature

  • Go to Business → Tooling → Feature
  • Click Edit and enable Web Analytics

Enable GA4 Source at Business Level

  • Go to Business → Tooling → Channel
  • Click Edit and enable Google Analytics 4 as a source

Configure Module Settings

  • Go to Business → Settings → Module Settings
  • Under Web Analytics, select Google Analytics 4

Connect GA4 Profile

  • Go to Business → Configuration → Google Analytics 4
  • Under Not Connected Profiles, click Select to connect GA4 to MPC

Select GA4 Property

  • Choose the GA4 property you want to connect
  • Make sure the property is linked to the correct cloud email ID

Note: If the client has not shared access with the connected email, request access. The profile will appear in MPC within 12 hours once access is granted.

Add Connection

  • Select the GA4 connection you want to make for the selected location and click on ‘Connect’.

Verify Connection

  • Once successfully connected, the GA4 property will appear under the Connected section in MPC.
  • Data will begin syncing and can be viewed within Analytics reports.

Key Points for Agencies

  • Ensure clients grant GA4 property access before starting setup.
  • If multiple properties exist, confirm the correct one with the client.
  • Allow for the 12-hour access refresh period.

  • Work with your agency to confirm which GA4 property should be connected.
  • Ensure your Google account has the right permissions to enable smooth configuration.
