Translation Capabilities in Page Studio

Problem Statement:

End Users couldn't create language pages​. They also had concerns on translation quality for ML based translations​.

Solution:

End users can now translate pages in just a couple of clicks using Page Studio’s ‘Add New Language’ feature. This helps users create language pages in no time. The AI translations are more accurate than our earlier versions of ML translations as they have better contextual understanding of the language, and have improved grammar over ML translations.

Additionally, when a new section is added on Page Studio it is automatically translated into the selected languages.

Draft Page URL Support

Problem Statement:

When a user made changes to a published page on Page Studio, they faced issues where previewing a draft of the page with the new changes. This led to 404 errors or the page failed to display the latest saved changes.

Solution:

When a user edits a published page and saves changes as a draft, a unique draft page URL is generated. Now, users can preview draft versions without affecting the live, published version of the page. The draft URL remains accessible until the draft is either published or discarded.

Settings Panel Revamp

Problem Statement:

Users of Milestone CMS experienced confusion when managing page hierarchy and SEO settings due to a lack of clear segmentation. The indexing settings were not intuitive, leading to instances where pages were accidentally de-indexed, negatively impacting search visibility. Additionally, the terminology and UI elements for page structure and SEO settings needed better clarity for ease of use.

Solution:

Clearer Page & SEO Settings Segregation: The Page Studio UI has been enhanced to distinctly separate page settings from SEO settings, ensuring a more intuitive experience for content creators.

Improved Page Hierarchy & Indexing Options: Users can now define parent pages and site structure more effectively, reducing confusion in content organization.

Default Indexing Enabled: To prevent accidental de-indexing, pages will now have indexing enabled by default, maintaining optimal search engine visibility.

Homepage Setup in Page Studio

Problem Statement:

Previously, Page Studio users lacked a straightforward way to designate a homepage within their site structure. Setting a homepage required manual adjustments, which often led to confusion, misconfigurations, and inconsistent user experiences. Additionally, there was no system warning when replacing an existing homepage, increasing the risk of unintended changes. URL updates also had to be handled manually, adding extra steps for users.

Solution:

Direct Homepage Setup in Page Studio: Users can now assign a homepage directly within Page Studio, simplifying site management.

System Warnings for Existing Homepages: The CMS will alert users if a homepage already exists, preventing accidental overrides and ensuring better control over site structure.

Dynamic URL Updates: When a homepage is assigned, the URL automatically updates, eliminating the need for manual intervention and ensuring proper site navigation.
