Managing Prompts

This article explains how to manage prompts within the GEO Intelligence dashboard—how to add, edit, group, organize, and optimize prompts using the Manage Prompts menu and the Settings section. Prompts help you track how AI search engines understand and respond to customer questions related to your business.

What Are Prompts?

Prompts are natural-language questions that simulate what real users ask in AI search engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity.

Examples:

  • “Where can I find the best McDonald’s near Times Square?”
  • “Are there any budget-friendly options for family dining nearby?”
  • “How do I order delivery from this location?”

Prompts allow you to evaluate:

  • How often does your brand appear in AI-generated answers
  • Sentiment associated with those answers
  • Which AI platforms understand your brand clearly
  • Where visibility gaps exist
